Wine

Bondar Rayner Vineyard Grenache is sourced from a tiny block of the Rayner Vineyard, planted in 1970. It is set amongst two hills just north of the McLaren Vale township.

Rayner Vineyard Grenache leads the Bondar range. The lowest yielding vines are hand harvested prior to natural fermentation.

Some of the fruit is left as whole bunches, while some is included as whole berries. A portion ferments in a ceramic egg, spending 120 days on skins. Around two thirds of the wine is aged in seasoned oak hogsheads.

Crimson purple, Bondar Rayner Vineyard Grenache is fresh and aromatic, with red berry flavours structured by powdery tannins. Cellaring potential is seven years.
